The Agnes Water and 1770 region really does feel like a touch of paradise! It is an amazing place to relax and unwind. There is also a LOT to see and do! It is an amazing coastal playground! The cliche that “there is something for everyone” certainly applies, however, it would be more accurate to say, “There are HEAPS upon HEAPS of things for everyone of all ages!”
The barrierreefaustralia.com website says:
“Located on Queensland’s Discovery Coast, Agnes Water is an untouched slice of paradise nestled upon the southernmost point of the Great Barrier Reef next to the Town of 1770. There are so many things to do and things to see in Agnes Waters and 1770 you must stay for at least 1 week to explore them all. Take a Great Barrier Reef tour to Lady Musgrave Island, enjoy fishing tours, and Gorge tours.”
A one-week holiday here will certainly help you recharge and/or allow you to have some great family time! Even two or three days can definitely be invigorating.
You’d be very hard-pressed to see and do everything in one-week though. We know families, groups, couples and singles who visit here at least once per year and always find new things to see and do.
We have compiled some useful resources to help you discover things you can see and do in the region:
We are a bit biased 🙂 . We have plenty of great accommodation options. Feel free to check them out here on our website.
